FAQ's

What is web hosting?

Web hosting refers to the process of publishing a web site so that it is available to the world on the Web. The pages to your site reside on a remote computer that is connected to the internet 24 hours a day. These pages are accessible through the mapping of your URL or domain names. Paid web hosting also involves getting a domain name and not having forced ads displayed on your site.

What is the benefit of having a presentation on CD?

Since any computer files can be stored on the CD-ROM, you can make use of the CD-ROM in many ways. For example, instead of sending product literature in printed format, a simple business card CD is equivalent to thousand of pages with color pictures. You can also make the CD more interesting by creating multimedia presentations in Flash or PowerPoint. You can even put up to 20 minutes of video on it. The only limitation is your imagination.

How can I accept credit card orders on my web site?

These basic elements are the foundation of accepting online orders via credit card:

1. A credit card merchant account with a bank
2. A method by which to collect orders and credit card information (order forms or shopping cart system)
3. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption - to provide your customers a secure method to transmit their credit card and ordering information to you

This is my first website, can you help me?

Can you explain the design process?

1) Contact Us
You start by contacting us either by phone or email. We then set a time to meet and review the details and requirements that you want for your site. After this, we would provide the total cost for your web site to be created. Once we have agreed on a price we move onto the next step.

2) Send a Deposit
You would then be provided with an invoice for 50% of the total price for your site. Your project will begin once your payment has cleared.

3) Collecting Information
During this period we start to create your web site's design, which you can view as we do this. While we are doing this, you have to get together all the vital information about your business, customers, your product, and any other information you want to display on your site. After we receive your information, we move onto the next step.

4) Provide Feedback
By this time your web site's design will be complete and we start adding the information you provided. During this time we encourage your feedback. It is your site, and we want you to be 100% satisfied with the final product. We do offer revisions to site, until you are satisfied. Next comes step 5.

5) Test and Launch
Once you have approved the final design, we do any tweaking that needs to be done to your site, so it loads fast, or makes it more appealing. We also start testing all features on your site, as well as making sure it works as intended on all major browsers, such as Netscape and Explorer. If during this time you still find a couple changes we can change them. Remember we want you to be 100% satisfied so we still encourage feedback during this period.
Once step five is done, your web site is complete. Once it is to your satisfaction we require the rest of the payment. After this, the site is then set up, and ready for everyone to view.

The web design process generally takes anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks. We recommend that you have the majority of your information written before your design begins, then we can get your site designed and up and running in a matter of weeks.

If I already have a site can you help me improve it?

Yes. We can usually redesign or freshen up an existing site quicker, and for less money than building one from scratch.

Whether your company's website "doesn't look professional", takes too long to load or the navigation is baffling to visitors, we can help.
